Sailboat on Frenchman's Bay

We were on a boat tour of Frenchman's Bay this afternoon and in the distance was this beautiful sailboat. I thought it had a ghostly quality with the mist from the water.

Maine's Wild Blueberries

During our visit to Maine we saw wild blueberries all over the place. I was surprised to find that they were a bit smaller than the blueberries I normally see in the store. We also had our fair share of blueberries at almost every restaurant we ate at.

The Light at Marshall Point

We visited the Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde, ME today. It is a beautiful place with fantastic views. Forrest Gump ran up this walkway to the light in the movie.

Walking Across the Androscoggin

We were in Brunswick, ME today and we visited the Brunswick Topsham Swinging Bridge. It is a beautiful bridge that crosses the Androscoggin River to connect Brunswick with Topsham for mill workers to get from their houses to the mill.

Rudbeckia hirta

I saw this huge patch of Black-Eyed Susans and just loved them. The golden yellow color with the dark tops just stood out. Wonderful summer color.

Hibiscus syriacus

The beginning of summer was pretty dry here in Santa Fe and our garden wasn't doing very well. But lately we have been having afternoon showers and our garden has really come to life. This is a picture of our Rose of Sharon bush.

Our Pear Tree

Well, our pear tree has tons of fruit. Unfortunately the pears are small and very hard. I hope they get a little bigger and are edible.
