The Transient Nature of Life

The cherry trees are blooming and they are full of flowers. I really hope we don't have freezing weather - I would hate to lose them.

My Amaryllis Blooms Again

About five years ago I bought two amaryllis bulbs. After they bloomed I was going to get rid of them, but I really liked the leaves so I kept them. Each year since them they have bloomed. I love it.

Our peach tree is pretty much in full bloom. I really like the soft pink flowers that this tree produces. It really makes the garden look beautiful.

Little Cemetery Angel

We stopped at St. John's Cemetery in Plaquemine, LA. They had quite a few older gravestones and lots of angels all around - I particularly liked this one.

Azaleas

I always loved the Spring in Lafayette and one of the reasons why is that the azaleas bloom like crazy. They are so beautiful and have so much color and fragrance.

Gobble, Gobble

I got my camera back just in time for our trip to Louisiana. Today at the Audubon State Historic Site I took this picture of a turkey as it wandered around the place. I was enthralled with the colors on its head and neck.
